Popular Air Permitting Workshops Added for December
December 1, 2005
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is offering free training seminars to help consultants and businesses who routinely apply for permits better understand how to fill out quality air construction permit applications. The training is also for business development related groups desiring a better understanding of the permitting process. This training will help ensure that business and industry receive permits as quickly as possible utilizing DNR's improved permit turnaround times.
Sessions are limited to 45 participants. Sessions focus on standard air construction permit applications that do not involve Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD). Presentations highlight how to fill out the air construction permit applications, common mistakes found in previously submitted applications, and modeling protocol.
Who should attend? Consultants and businesses that apply for standard air permits should attend. Business development officials interested in better understanding the permit process may also attend.
To register, call or e-mail the DNR's Barb Williams at 515-242-5275 or barb.williams@dnr.iowa.gov. Indicate how many staff will attend from your organization and which day is preferred (Monday, December 12th or Tuesday, December 13th.) Training is held at the DNR Air Quality Offices at 7900 Hickman Road, Suite 1 in Windsor Heights.
Those planning on attending may pre-email questions and topics they would like covered to aaron.schmidt@dnr.iowa.gov. Questions and answers will be provided anonymously during the training.
