Title V Fee Cap Meeting

A public meeting to discuss changing the Title V fee cap is scheduled for May 22, 2008 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The Air Quality Bureau plans to initiate a rulemaking this summer to reset the cap on fees paid by sources subject to the Title V operating permit program. Air Quality Bureau (AQB) staff will share budget projections and receive comments and suggestions on a new fee cap level prior to initiating this rulemaking.

The Title V fee is currently limited in administrative rule to $39/ton of actual emissions. Budget projections for SFY 2010 and beyond indicate that the Title V fee will need to be raised. The AQB staff will also discuss various program funding options that could be realized through fees on air construction permitting activities.

This public meeting will be held in the Air Quality Bureau conference rooms located at 7900 Hickman Road in Urbandale.
