Air Quality Client Contact Meeting Scheduled for November 13

An Air Quality Client Contact Meeting will be held Thursday, November 13, 2008 from 1 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the DNR Air Quality Bureau conference room. Agenda topics include updates on the status of current rulemakings and discussion of planned future rulemakings, planning for a future indicator opacity workgroup, and discussion on the new ambient air quality standard for lead. Discussions will also be initiated on reducing PM2.5 background concentrations, including types of measures, voluntary vs. mandatory measures, and consideration of local vs. regional scale impacts of various measures.

The Air Quality Client Contact Meetings focus on current and upcoming air program issues and changes. The meetings are currently held quarterly. Air Quality Bureau staff also participate in the monthly Environmental Services Division client contact meetings.

The DNR Air Quality Bureau is located at 7900 Hickman Road in Urbandale.
