Chapter 455A.8 establishes the Brushy Creek Recreation Area Trails advisory board (B.C.T.A.B). This board is composed of ten members, including the following: the director of the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), the park manager for Brushy Creek Recreation Area, a member of the State Preserves Advisory Board (chapter 465C), a person appointed by the governor, and six persons appointed by the legislative council. The board meets twice per year once in the spring and fall at the park office. The board advises DNR regarding issues and recommendations relating to the development and maintenance of the trails and related activities.
