The Iowa DNR Fisheries Bureau operates several fish hatcheries. All facilities are open for tours. For tour information, visit the Fisheries web page.

Displays, activities, and programs from all bureaus of the Department of Natural Resources are available in the DNR Building (near the fairground's west entrance).

The E.B. Lyons Nature Center, South Bluff Nature Center, Loess Ridge Nature Center, and Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) museum are open to visitors. For more information, check out the Parks, Recreation, and Preserves web page.

The Center is north of Guthrie Center. The facility strives to provide a unique opportunity by integrating resource management with education about natural resources through hands-on outdoor education activities.

Some available activities are fishing, stream table, archery, pond study, water quality, rifle shooting, bird banding, Iowa mammals, orienteering, and team building. For additional information, contact A. Jay Winter, 641/747-8383.
