Upcoming Workshops


Projects WILD, WILD Aquatic, and Learning Tree

WILD, WILD Aquatic, and PLT materials are available to formal and nonformal educators through workshops on request for groups of at least 15 educators and/or youth leaders.

Workshops also are provided through several colleges and universities. At the workshop, participants will be introduced to several activities as well as to suggested teaching techniques, ideas for using the activities, and philosophies behind the programs.

Email the WILD/PLT coordinator to receive email notification of upcoming training opportunities. Please contact the workshop presenter if you require special accommodations.

Advanced WILD Aquatic Workshops

Exploration of the Mississippi River

Targeted for 4th - 12th grade educators, this workshop includes information about the Mississippi's history, current management practices/issues, techniques used to monitor the ecological health of the River, and field trips.

Registration Deadline: June 1, 2008; limit of 30 participants; $60 registration fee includes lodging, meals, field trips; activity packet; must purchase a park admission sticker (WI Resident $25 annual or $7 daily, Non-Res. $35 annual or $10 daily) two Drake University graduate credits are available for an additional fee
