Notropis hudsonius
- Characteristics - very pale olive with silvery sides and belly, large prominent spot at the base of the tail, dorsal and anal fins ae more deeply falcate than other Notropis species
- Distribution - natural lakes and the Mississippi River in Iowa
- Foods - aquatic insects and larvae, zooplankton and some plant material
- Adult Length - 3 - 4 inches
