Inland waters

The season is open all year on most inland waters, with several significant exceptions:
  • The season is closed from December 1 through May 20 in:
    • West Okoboji Lake
    • East Okoboji Lake
    • Spirit Lake
The daily bag limit is 1 fish.
The possession limit of 1 fish.
All fish must be 40 inches in length.



Boundary Rivers

The season is open all year.
The daily bag limit is 1 fish.
The possession limit is 1 fish.
All fish must be at least 40 inches in length.
