There is no open season - You cannot have them in your possession. These species are on Iowa's Threatened and Endangered species list. Both inland waters and boundary rivers are closed. A bag and possession limit of 10 and 20 shovelnose sturgeon is allowed on the Missouri River. No harvest of shovelnose sturgeon is allowed in the Big Sioux River. |
