Pilot Mound State Forest

Pilot Mound State Forest is located 1 mile south and 1/2 mile east of Pilot Mound in Boone County. It is a 34 acre tract of young hardwood forest and some grassy areas.  There are no facilities. Hunting is not permitted because the forest is within the city limits of Pilot Mound.  Hiking and bird watching are the main recreational activities.
