TIER 2 Version 2.51 Software Installation Instructions

Please note the Tier 2-SMR v2.51 User’s Manual and executable files are large documents and may take some time to download from the web site.  If you would like a CD copy of Version 2.51, contact Bonnie Garrison at 515/281-6010 or bonnie.garrison@dnr.state.ia.us

Installation Instructions:

1. Create a new directory on your hard disk and label it "T2SMRInstallV251".
2. Download the files t2SMRv251.exe and t2smrv251usersmanual.exe to the directory.  (Save the files to your new directory).
3. Locate the files in windows explorer.  These files are self-extracting zip files.  As a precaution, scan the files for viruses if you have antivirus software.
4. Double click on the software file (T2SMRV251.exe). This will open the WinZip® Self-Extractor dialog box.  Type the location, where you wish to save the file, in the Unzip to Folder: text box or browse to the location by using the Browse... button.
5. Click on the Unzip button and extract the installation files to the directory. Click on the Close button to close the WinZip® Self-Extractor dialog box.  There will be three installation files:
   • setup.exe
   • Setup.lst
   • T2SMRV251.CAB
6. Double click on setup.exe. This will start up the installation program for Tier 2-SMR Version 2.51.  After installation the program will be shown in the "Start", "Programs" as Tier 2-SMR V2.51
7. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to extract the User’s Manual (t2smrv251usersmanual.exe).
