Due to concerns about flooding conditions the building which houses the server for volunteers to sign-up to help has had their power cut-off. The application will be unavailable for an unknown period of time.

In the meantime, volunteers may call either Merry Rankin (515)281-0878; Merry.Rankin@dnr.iowa.gov or Elizabeth Gull (515)-281-0806; Elizabeth.Gull@dnr.iowa.gov to offer their volunteer services.

DES MOINES - In observance of National Volunteer Week, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources is sending out a huge 'thank you' to its statewide volunteer team.

AmeriCorps Keepers of the Land
We staff 52 AmeriCorps positions (28 full time and 24 seasonal). Spend a summer teaching park visitors about local wildlife. Spend one to two years at the helm of a chainsaw clearing trail in our parks.
