The threats to Iowa's water quality are real. One of Iowa's largest sources of water quality problems is polluted runoff from agricultural operations, urban construction sites, inadequate septic systems, and other areas. Since this "non-point source" pollution comes in many forms, it can be addressed through a wide variety of practices and technologies.
