Clean water starts with you
Landowners and residents are partnering with the Nutting Creek Watershed Project to improve the quality of the water in their creek. Through the use of conservation practices on their land, they are helping improve the creek for future generations.

Carrie Davis, project coordinator, can help landowners
Improving Iowa watersheds is nothing new for project coordinator Carrie Davis. Davis began work with the Nutting Creek watershed in January 2008 after serving as coordinator for watershed projects in both Grannis Creek and Mink Creek.

A watershed is the area of land that drains into a lake or stream.

Water traveling over the surface or through groundwater may pick up contaminants like sediment, chemicals and waste and deposit them in a body of water.
