Storm Lake Watershed Project

Thirty percent of Storm Lake's shoreline is public parks.

Landowners and residents are working together with the Storm Lake Watershed Project to improve their lake.

By installing conservation practices and making other changes, Storm Lake residents are working to improve their farming operations, their land, their lake and the future.

What's a watershed?

A watershed is the area of land that drains into a lake or stream.

Water traveling over the surface or through groundwater may pick up contaminants like sediment, chemicals and waste and deposit them in a body of water.
