Roadside Survey numbers indicate the average number of animals counted on 30
mile routes in each region (e.g., the northwest region counted an average of
41.3 pheasants on 30 mile survey routes in 2007). Percentage
information represents the increase or decrease in the 2007 counts from
2006 counts. Counts are overall averages for each region and represent
the overall abundance of game in each region. There can be areas of low
game abundance in regions with “high” counts and areas of high game abundance
in regions with “poor” counts. |
